Royd's at Gateway Farms and Nursery
Shopping
Southernmost "Western town" in the U.S. — a Cuban food + farm + nursery + petting zoo hybrid on the north edge of the Redland, founded by Royd and Maribel Lemus. Kitchen runs on Quintin and Maria Teresa Larios (Miami's king and queen of Cuban cuisine): lamb shank, vaca frita, oxtail stew, croquettes, fried stuffed tostones. PBR mechanical bull, live music, open-air dining, two fenced dog parks, and a nursery of ornamental and fruit trees to boot.
- What to order
- Lamb shank if it's on — sleeper pick. Otherwise vaca frita, croquettes, or the fried stuffed tostones to start; puerco or Cuban sandwich for the main; cafecito to close. Dogs and kids welcome; ride the bull if you're feeling it.
- Hours
- Closed Mon–Tue · Wed–Fri 8:30a–5p · Sat–Sun 8:30a–6p
