Stop 07 · Port Orange
Aunt Catfish's on the River
Food
Waterfront Southern comfort-food institution on the Halifax River in Port Orange — running since 1979 as a fish-camp-style spot on Halifax Dr, four generations of family ownership. Cinnamon rolls come free with every plate (over 1,000 baked and glazed on-site daily), and the fixin's bar loads up cornbread, grits, and homemade sides alongside the fried catfish, shrimp, and Southern platters. Sunday's Blue Jeans Brunch (9a–2p) is the ritual — dress code exactly what it says.
- What to order
- Fried catfish or a seafood platter — the cinnamon rolls come with the meal, so ride in hungry. If you're rolling through Sunday morning, the Blue Jeans Brunch (9a–2p) beats the dinner-hour wait.
- Hours
- Mon–Thu 11:30a–8p · Fri–Sat 11:30a–9p · Sun 9a–8p (Blue Jeans Brunch 9a–2p)
